Hey guys
Instead of trying to type audio sounds im just going to upload the video and describe a little.
I just did a obo 1 h22 swap. ( car been down for 6 months,I have been driving the car for a week only 300 miles on it, no CEL. )Today i did a second gear slam( first gear tach went to 7500, and i slammed it into second then just drove normal in 3rd.)
afterwards i started hearing the sound in the video. 30 secs later the crankshaft bolt came loose( was not tight, so i tighten it up engine runs fine now) i can shift in all the gears, however when the sound comes i can feel vibration on the clutch pedal. Car is still driving able, clutch feels strong as well as engagement. in neutral sound comes roun 4k rpm. when in a gear i can fainly hear it starting at 2k then it builds up.
let me give you some background info about the tranny. New centerforce clutch, 8lb flywheel and OEM throwout bearing put in less than 25k miles ago. sometime after that i started hearing that soft whirling noise when car's in neutral that is suppose to be throwout bearing. but besides that tranny has been fine.
im thinkin it might be a throwout bearing im not sure. some of the forums with simliar issue said maybe bent fork. Any help guys. I wana have a heads up before i take the tranny out.
