I did something very dumb yesterday. At my condo i park my car in a reserved space on the 5th floor, i drove back from miami yesterday with my girlfriend to bring her car to ATL, and the space next to my spot is narrow. I cut the wheel in too much of her solara while pulling in and to the side of the prelude and heard it rubbing up against the rear bumper of the lude. I got out and now there is a few scratched measuring about 3/4 inch tall by about 5 inches in length. They gave me touch up paint 8 months ago when i bought the lude (black lude) and i dont wanna spend the $300-600 to paint it at a body shop due to my stupidity, should i try to use the touch up paint they gave me to do the job, i know it wont look perfect but will it make it look almost as good as b4? reply please
Learn how to properly use touch up paint and you will be able to come close to the original appearance. Search here, the net, or get a auto body book for detailed instructions.. basically it involves many coats and careful wet sanding, then rubbing, then polishing, then waxing.
huh, if its not too deep or your paint is not completely torn off, use meguire's scratchX. that thing does wonders. make sure you wax afterwards.

I used touch up paint on my hood, and depending on the light it looks either really bad, or so so. But then again I have no idea how to apply touch up paint. I really just did it to prevent it from rusting.

I have a black lude, too, and I've tried touching it up. I guess I don't know what I'm doing either, cuz my touch-ups look like crap. I just wanted to keep the rust away, too...
when i used touch up paint... i complete messed my car up.

Hmm, really!! Maybe I'll try it out. I got a damn scratch on my rear bumper when I took my car into the Honda dealer for an oil change last weekend. I was thinking about buying those touch-up paint but haven't heard many good thing about it yet.

my touch up paint sucked ass! I had a few scratches and chips when i bought the car that i wanted to get rid of. I put a couple of layers on there over the course of about a week and now it just looks like '97-'98 white. I guess its better than the color of the chips, but its not that great...
