Tokico Illumina Settings

I tried doing a search, but didn't come up with the right results. I'm going to be putting on my Illuminas next week when I'm back home hopefully, and I was wondering what kind of settings people use. I don't mind a rough ride, but I don't want it to really be "trashy" rough, if you know what I mean. I understand that either the front, or the rear, needs to be more stiff, but I'm not sure which. Would anyone mind posting up their settings, and/or comparisons, and letting me know what works the best for them?

Thanks

I don't really know what the other settings are like but I have them on 5 from the beginning and I like it like that. I don't think the ride is harsh but every once in a while I'll bottom out on a pothole and it's pretty harsh when that happens although that'll be harsh with any suspension. I don't think 5 is over doing it.

Mine are set at 3 rear and 2 front. Sometimes I put the front a little softer at 1 and it makes the car ride more cushy over bumps. I've never changed the rears mainly because it's harder to get to them and I'm lazy.

So are we going for a (lack of better words) more harsh ride in the rear? I'm going to go 3 front, and 4 back in that case. I can't wait to get dropped

yep same here
3 frnt and 5 rear

stiffer rear will make the car oversteer a little more, which will balance out the car a little since we tend to understeer (especially the base models like mine)

honestly, i recommend just playing around with them a little until you find a setting that you like.

so, does anyone hear actually notice much of a difference in performance when it comes down to a 2 vs. 4?

yes 4 is significantly tighter, but depending on how hard yuo drive, that's how you will set it up. If you're just driving HIGHWAY allt he time put it on 2...but if you love taking those onramps and twisties leave it stiffer. Tis' still comfortable at 4..dont' be me wrong..but at 2 it's REAL nice..dare I say BMW like (still stiff but comfortable).

OT, but blklude98 is that your car in your sig? What spring/coilover are you using and have you had any problems with it mated to your Illuminas?

I was taking a look at the stuff that came with it, and it suggests that stiffening the rear suspension would increase oversteer (back end loses it). Does this mean, it's better off if we keep the rear a notch looser then the front?
