Does anyone have a setup with the Tokico HP Suspension kit (HPK233)? If so, how does it ride?
Does Tokico really make their own springs? I'm getting conflicting info about the lowering height. Options Auto say they lower about 1" but Tokico claims 1.5".
The tokico catalog steates that the 92+ Preludes drop 1.5" and the 87-91 kit lowers 1"

i have that kit installed on my car... i recommend it.
it definitely lowers more than 1".. at about 1.5".
overall.. i think it rides very well.. if you want extreme performance, you might be better off with stiffer shocks.. but for the street, i'd say this is perfect.... just enough to clear speedbumps and driveways..
here's some pics of my car in case you wanted to see how the drop looks.. its kinda blurry though.

a nice combo... makes your car pretty much even looking in terms of drop. (whereas i've seen some other combos that tend to show the rear end sagging a little)
setting 5 of 5 is stiff as hell (well, enough for me). i ride in the summer at around 3..
no "bouncy" sensation. a nice stiff compression and rebound.

me and my cousin installed them, starting at 8:30am. took prolly about 3hrs to do. the ride is very firm at 5, and very pillowy at 1. reduced body roll quite a bit while on 5. 5 is a great setting if you're doing a lot of hard cornering, makes it feel rail like. my dad couldn't really notice that i was lowered until i told him. i could tell though, the front bumper hit my legs in a different place when i was looking under the hood.
ride is firm, not bouncy, good tight suspension at 5
set on 1 its a nice soft "big car" ride that soaks up a lot of the road.
i drove back to school on PA Turnpike, with them set at 5, although it wasn't to bad, i think i might turn them down to go home, maybe to say 3 or so.
all and all, it was well worth the money spent, and i can't wait to test them out at the next auto-x event.
Hey Omar,
I am looking to buy this set also. Can you tell me how stiff they are set at 3 (as compared to oem)? How much of a drop (some say 1 inch, some say 1.5)?
Since the shocks help mostly at rebound, Im guessing by what you wrote about the springs itself are a good amount stiffer than stock?
My other choice is to go w/blues & h&r sports

id say that 3 would prolly be equal or a little less than stock stiffness(as far as shocks go). the drop is about 1.5" it a good even drop and gets rid of most of the wheel gap. you have to remember that the springs are progressive, meaning the more force on them, the stiffer they get. if you dont plan on doing some kind of auto racing involving cornering(auto-x, road racing..etc) i would prolly get the blues.
