titanium particle coated exhaust

Real quick question for anyone. What in the world does titanium particle paint coated mean? Example is the Apexi WS2 exhaust, the muffler is stainless steel but the rest of the piping is this titanium particle paint coated. I mean it's not like Apexi exhausts are like cheapo no-name ebay cat backs or anything. I guess I'm just hoping that titanium particle paint coating isn't a cheap crappy way to make piping, that definitely wouldn't make me happy seeings how I just bought a WS2. Thanks for all/any help.

I think it's used to make the pretty heat colorization on the lip of the exhaust. Titanium discolors when subjected to high heat.

Ok got another question about the WS2. Ok so this is my first cat back ive ever put on one of my cars and had a couple questions.
1) When I got this I noticed it kinda smelled bad, like something was burning, I am assuming because it is new there is 'something' that is burning off in the exhaust just because it's brand new. I was wondering if anyone knew how long until all the 'whatever' is burned off and it won't smell anymore.
2) I also noticed it was really quiet when I first fired it up, and after driving it for like 15 min or so it started to get a little louder because it was warmed up. I was wondering if after driving it for a while and breaking it in if it will become louder. I mean right now it makes a great deep rumble when I rev it up but I kinda hope it gets just a little bit louder.
Thanks for all/any help.

The burning smell is normal. It'll go away soon. Overtime as an exhaust gets older it will get louder but not anytime soon.
