Since some of the tread is getting a little low I am thinking about a new set of tires, I am on stock rims 205/50/16. What I am looking for are these aspects: good treadwear, low road noise, good handling, and most importantly a reasonable price. I have searched tirerack.com and come across these:

Kumhos

Looking at the ratings they are pretty good, and only 78 dollars a tire compared to the 130 dollar stock POS tires It seems the kumhos have even better treadlife than stocks so I am really interested in these. Anyone have any other suggestions for 205/50/16 tires? I do not want to spend a lot because tires are friggin expensive. Thanks
Look at it this way. You but the Kuhmos and aren't terribly impressed with them. The tread also looks cheesy. Now for the next 30,000 miles you can wonder what it would be like if I had gotten the good stuff. So you drive harder, patch-out, etc. trying to wear them out, while further revealing their weaknesses. Maybe the tread has gotten really loud by now. You're cursing and pounding the steering wheel in anger wondering why you listened to all those cheapskates on the internet.....

Now don'tcha wish you had spent the extra 200 bucks?

How do the kumhos compare to stocks in the rain. stocks in rain suck, they slip a lot.

everyone bags on the FZ4 but they're comparing an all-season tire to summer tires.. how does the FZ4 compare to other all-season tires like..... the RE92?

i just ordered the toyo proxes t1-s. they should have good wet traction but are on the expensive side... close to the S-03's. but they are 4 pounds lighter than the S-03's....
