tires?

my friend was selling a set of 16inch tires .. i need some to but the tires he selling are 235 i have 205 .. would it scrub??? what if i lower the car ?? i have stock 16inch base wheels 5th gen

What's the entire size? 235/? R16

I am not an expert on rims/tires but 235s sound way too wide for stocks and I don't even think they'll fit. Generally speaking, a car manufacturer's specified tire dimensions are a perfect fit for the set of rims they put on the car. If you want wider tires for better traction, etc., then I would get some nice aftermarket rims to accompany the wider tire.

Oh yeah I think the base rims are 16x6 which means the maximum width would be 215 I think. I wouldn't go wider then 215 on stock wheels.
