Tire size for 17inch rims

i am getting the racing hart cp035 in size 17X7.5 with a 45mm offset. Is 215/45 by 17 a correct size to get? Thanks

the most correct is:

225/40/17 BUT only one tire comes in that size soo, the next closest is: 215/40/17

Get the 215/40's. The stock setup has an overall height of 611mm and the 215/40 would have a 603mm overall height. Not a huge diff at all. The 225/40 is the exact one though also being 611mm, but I think you can only get Nitto's in that size and I don't like Nitto too much. Plus the 215's will give you marginally better steering feedback than the 225s.

I would get 215/45's if the road in ur area are rough/bumpy and what not!

Yes, I know the 45's are larger than the stock radius by like 2%, while the 40's are smaller than stock by 1.xx% By I personally would prefer to give up a lil speed & acceleration for the sake of having a lil taller tire for better rim protection. Just MO!

I'm in Pleasant Hill. However, right now I'm at UCSC for school where I come home to visit when I can.
