Tinny sound coming from CAI at higher rpms...

I just took my car out for a while to strech its legs and noticed that some of the time there was a tinny metallic sound coming from the CAI at high rpms (6+). I noticed that there is a little play in the movement of the CAI against the whole that was cut for it the fenderwell. Has anybody noticed this before? I assume that at high rpms it vibrates a little and rubs against the metal. Is there a way to line that hole with rubber so that the CAI can't move around?

Don't they usually come with a piece of metal to put on it to connect to the frame of your car so that it doesn't move? My friend has one.

One, forgive me for my ignorance, but how did a sponge and WD-40 help?

insert sponge in where ever the CAI tubing contacts the metals that the CAI runs through, then spray WD40 on the sponge in case friction does occure
