Time to get a body kit

Basically i am completley lost in a storm of options. My aim is to keep the clean and simple look hence...my top ideas are a mugen pic (but that is freakin expensive and i dunno how the fiberglass is gonna hold up), I like the WWRS kit but it looks a little funny (like the kit flares out a little in the rear and sides and front), and i have no idea about the availability of a Brand New OEM kit. That is my dillemma...so basically all of you who agree with me regarding the sporty clean look...what kits are you guys going with. I want a kit that is gonna last and looks nice. PLEASE HELP ME...

The only real, I guess most would call "clean" kits are the OEM, WWRS, and Mugen. OEM and genuine Mugen have been discontinued and will be extremely difficult to find. VIS, GTP, and some other companies have replica Mugen kits which do the job, at much less of cost and of slightly lesser quality. Also, I've seen OEM replica kits on Erebuni's website.

Here are some sites to look at for choosing body kits:

www.erebuni.com
www.visracing.com
www.grounddesigns2000.com (*Black Widow)
www.extremedimensions.com
www.kingmotorsports.com (*Mugen)

See if you can't find something there you like. Good luck.

Heres some sites for you:

ok....thanks for all your help...i really like the vis replica of the mugen kit...how is vis as far as quality...because i dont wanna be screwed with fixing the front bumper like every week...im not that low...all that i have is neuspeed sport springs and koni shox...only lowered like 1.5 inch. will the "techno r" as they call it hold up or should i stick with other stuff.

ok...in addition to the post that i just put up....my aim is to get a kit that allows me to keep my existing blinkers and to eventually add in the jdm fogs...hence my likings of the oem and mugen kits...

One kit that I have always liked but hardly EVER see is the FULL buddy club kit. I'm not sure who makes a nice quality one...but I would love to see a lude wearing a buddy club kit.

do u think getting a replica kit would be considered cheap and people would bash on you for not having the real thing??????

no.... i look at it as bein cost efficient, i have a replica, and i dont get flamed on.

the money that could have been used to buy a real kit was used on something better, like my turbo

if i was a baller, then yea, id get the real kit, but i feel its really not necessary, as long as you also have access to a good body shop

just be careful with a fiberglass front, it will chip a lot easier than a urethane front. that has been the onl ything that has steered me away from getting a mugen replica front. if I get a kit now it will probably be the RS, OEM, or a mix of mugen sides/rear and oem lip. that is a sweet setup.

I like the OEM or mugen kit. Or greddy front lip, mugen sides and mugen rear.

If you want OEM blinkers and JDM fogs, go with the Mugen kit. It is clean looking.

as for ppl who say that fiberglass chips easily... thats not necessarily true... as long as the bumper is prepped correctly..... and is shot with good coats, it wont chip as easily as many think.

I agree w/ saga, if it's prepped and sprayed right you won't get as many chips and stuff. I've got the Mugen sides and rear w/ the Greddy lip. I couldn't be happier.

I have the GTP replica (I expected to get the VIS, but I won't get into that now....) and I had to do a lot of fabrications to the rears. The sides were fine. My rear looks as if it's OEM now after the body shop did an excellent fadrication job. I'd go with VIS cuz I've "heard" they're a better Mugen replica out of the box.

Here are some pics if you need any help deciding, which you probably don't.Finally the exterior is done (7 pics)

A bit off topic but... do you think a Vis Mugen front would look good with Black Widow sides / rear bumper?
