Threw out the twin loop rep for a magnaflow

So as some of you may remember I recently installed a 2.5 in custom piping cat back exhaust with a 15 in resonator. I also installed an OBX R twin loop muffler. Everything went great for about a month and then I sprung 3 different leakes and a TERRIBLE rattle from the muffler at idle . After taking it all over the place getting it checked out it was finally decided that aside from the leaks there was a broken baffle on the inside of the muffler. After a few days of being annoyed I went back to where I got it installed and switched it out for a 14in magnaflow single tip muffler with a clean small tip welded on. The muffler is stainless steel and is slightly deeper in tone than the twin loop. Overall I am very excited! The muffler looks super clean exactly how I wanted it and the sound is awesome! Anyone curious about magnaflow mufflers can now rest assured on their sound, its mean as hell with no droning or stupid annoyances. Minus the hassle I am actually equally happy if not more now just becuase I love the look/sound ! Thumbs up for magnaflow and thumbs down for twin loop replicas...

Isn't every obx product terrible? I would never buy anything from that company. Unless you're looking for a "short shift" adapter, they couldn't have messed up too badly on those.

I haven't had any problems with my OBX twin loop. It does have a warranty depending where you bought it from. I wouldn't trust OBX with anything that has moving parts, but their muffler is ok. Well...mine is anyway.

If you bought it from ebay, you should have a lifetime warranty against defects. Return it. The OBX version is one of the better twin loop replica's out there.

OBX uses thin wall sheet metal on their exhaust products. This kind of thing doesn't surprise me in the least.

All the current OBX owners just need to wait awhile, your day will come.

Then I will get a new one, courtesy of OBX.
