Those of you running Phillips Vision Plus H1 bulbs...
I'm thinking of getting the Phillips Vision Plus H1 bulbs. Has anyone had any bad experiences with these? Do they burn out too fast? If not, how long have you had them and are you pleased with the brightness? Thanks!
Re: Those of you running Phillips Vision Plus H1 bulbs...
I have the Phillips Vision Plus bulbs, and i am using them for my lows. I have had nothing but a good experience so far! I bought them last Feburary, so it has been over a year now that they have lasted me. Also, i am very pleased with the brightness.
Atleast everytime I'm on the road at night, people high beam me tell me to take my highs off... when infact I have my lows on. So that is when i hit them with my Phillips and Osrams, which are i am using for my highs, and blind the hell out of them.
Hope this helps...
Jay

I have got Vision Plus for the high/main beams, Blue Vision for the dipped beams and BLUE bulbs for the parking lights. The parking lights are designed for interior use 'cos they are VERY BLUE. I have had no problems with the Philips bulbs and would not hesitate to buy them again.
I have the Vision Plus bulbs for my hi and low beams and they are great. I mean if u want to spend $60 or so for PIAA's they are better but the Vision's are awesome for their price.
-Brighter then stocks
-Whiter
-Only $32 for 2 and shipping is free
-they will also last a lot longer then others
Blue Vision isn't blue, at all.. it might be a LITTLE more blue than Vision Plus... but I have them for my low beams.. and its a very nice white color, bright enough for me...
A good test of how white and bright your bulbs are is in the rain.... how well can you see the drops coming down.. and how clear do they look...
I am happy with these, I got 3 for 32$ a few months back and have had no problems, IF they ever did blow out, I would buy another pair...

The Philips Blue Vision are great. I have them in my low beams and I dont think I would go for any other bulb besides the Vision Plus (or HID). I am very satisfied with this product and I would definitely buy again. If you do decide to purchase the Blue Visions, order them from www.powerbulbs.com. Hope this helps narrow your choices down. Whatever you do, dont go with PIAA for headlights, too overpriced.
Yea i got some Phillips Vison Plus blubs..they are ok..not what i was expecting in color output.. They are Brighter than stock..But when i put them in..the color was probably a little whiter than stock..almost kinda yellowish.. i dunno maybe its just me.
But they sure do light up the road a little better than stockies.
U shouldnt have to worry about these blubs blowing out fast..ppl have had them for over a year +
I have some ploarg super whites in my sidemarkers..with clear sidemarkers..and they kinda dont match the vision plus at all.
ill try to get a pic later on.. Maybe the Blue vison are different ?
I had Vision Plus before I got HID, and for halogens I was impressed with their brightness. From my web-based research the consensus seems to be the following:
If you want whiter than stock light get Blue Visions.
If you want brighter lights get Philips Vision Plus (+50%) or Premiums (+30%). Osram also makes a +30% H1 bulb.
For you 4th gens out there I would try Sylvania SilverStars (4000K color temperature and claim up to 20% brighter).
Stick with Philips or Osram Sylvania, most other aftermarket bulbs (PIAA, Catz, Polarg, etc.) are mostly meant for show rooms or off road and are over priced and tend to be dim and less reliable. Just my opinion.
