Those with Tuned VAFC/2s read........

What is the most you were leaned out up top? I have I/H/E/P/VAFC and around the 6000-7500RPM range i was leaned out 15-19%. My fuel curve is perfect. Flat and steady around 13.5 and right around 7000RPM it goes to 13.0. Im a little worried about having to lean it out so much, but yet the fuel curve is right where it should be. Could it have been the cool temps? Or is everyone else leaned out he same?

Mine is leaned out to 13.5 straight across except for a 'bump' at 5000 rpm where it spikes to 14.0, and then it goes back to 13.5 again.

...adding to the thread - anyone know why it has that bump at 5K? Old VTEC egagement point on the stock ECU?

Where is your VTEC set to now? The IABs engage at 4900, so that could be it. ECU tends to dump fuel at VTEC crossover, but I don't know what it does at the IAB transition.

I had to take out alot more than you guys

I am at over -20 in the 7000-7500 range(-22 if I remember) and it tapers down from there back towards 5000. I didnt lean it out as much as I could in the low rpm, just because I was concentrating more on making torque there than power. My A/F curve is flat between 13.2 and 13.5 to 1

Cool. That makes me feel better. Just wanted to make sure it was normal to have to take out that much fuel. I was told at -20% fuel the VAFC starts causing trouble.

I walked out with 13hp and 4.3or4 lbs of torque on a Mustang dyno. car seems to run alot smoother now, and my bumper is no longer covered in black soot the day after washing.
