Those with the APEXi WS...

I searched, but couldn't find anything concrete.

I've heard many times that this exhaust is restrictive because its not straight-thru designed. I was bummed because I wan planning on gettin that bad boy. But if I'm not going to make any HP, then i'm not gonna waste my $$.

Have any of you tried the WS and others? How do they compare? any dynos of the WS vs Stock muffler?

I want a quiet exhaust. I don't care about anything else. Loud is not an option. Mugen is, but then again, so is not being wallet-raped.

I want a quiet exhaust. I WILL pay for it. I was referring to the WS as a could-be waste of money.

u dont expect to get super gains with an exhaust right.it gives 2-5 hp or u may even lose some .
if u want power , go FI.
kidding aside- it is ur preference really- if u want a quiet exhaust -go for the WS . the exhaust alone wont make u any faster than the others .
or get something else and end up buying another - waste of money.- u can always sell it tho.

Compared to stock, I felt (butt meter) a good bump in power after an install of the Apexi RS (basically the WS). I wouldnt go as far to say it lost power.

to make u feel better about the apexi - i have the WS for 1 month now and i bought it from cementups. i feel a lot better on low to mid end , high end remains normal like stock.
it is not loud really and if i would describe it " u feel it ", u dont hear it as to the sound.

you are correct that the non-straight through muffler of the WS does prevent a lot of performance. Honestly, you wont gain much with the exhaust. It will make a very slight difference but there is noticably more gains to be found with an exhaust that has a straight-through muffler design. The Greddy line of exhausts are probably the quietest straight-through designed line of exhausts.
I've also heard that the tanabe hyper medallion is straight-through, if it is, i'd consider that one as well, since it is supossed to be a pretty quiet exhaust also.
