I made money on the swap by parting out a car that had most of the swap parts already in it.

Have to admit I had an unusual situation in that my car is not a daily driver and I was able to do all the work myself. I do work on my Prelude in my spare time because I enjoy it.

Using all the available swap information from ROMpirate etc. the swap came off without a hitch, started up and drove with no problem. And it is a far more enjoyable car to drive than it was with the SS.

But with dream come true also came a nightmare. Not a month after I get my coveted 5th gen, I learned, (through this forum) that my tranny is going out. Not sure if I am going to (try to) get another tranny, rebuild this one or jsut go for the swap. Money is a serious issue so I'm thinking rebuilding just to save the added cost. Still trying to find current, up-to-date info here. Something that's not 10 years old with broken links and changed phone numbers.
Yeah i know, its very disappointing. I had major plans for this car, it being my first car and my love.I was going to do the swap and then start the modding, but i have decided to go a new route. Due to the kms on the car 196 xxx (122k miles), i am just going to fix the trans and finish the paint job and then sell the car after summer. I have fell in love with a different car. Something a little newer, faster, less mileage

Good luck with your future endeavours with the car though!
