Is there a difference between 97-98 white and 99+ white?

I'm looking to buy an OEM front lip for my 5th gen (Diamond White). As you may know it's discontinued...the color. How close is the Diamond White to the new Premium Pearl White? I read some where on PO that they looked the exact same. Good pics would be nice...

I want to get this OEM lip, but I don't want to pay more to repaint it.

Yes. 1998 was Diamond White Pearl. It was really white.
1999+ was Premium White Pearl. It was not as white. More like an off-white.

This is a 5th-generation-specific question. It belongs in the 5th gen forum.

Diamond White Pearl was offered only in 98 (no white in 97), then they switched to Premium Pearl White in 99 and it's been like that since then. The Diamond White Pearl is a little whiter, while the Premium Pearl White is a little yellower.

I have the Premium Pearl White front lip on my car (98 Diamond White Pearl). It's not too bad, occasionally the color difference is obvious due to lighting. The front lip in the pic of my sig was painted Premium Pearl White (the body shop screwed it up, but it's now painted flat black for auto-x, I have another one for the street that is painted Premium Pearl White from the factory). Can you tell the difference? I can....

i already called dealerships and they come painted cannot get them unpainted... If you really want the OEM kit buy one used in any color chips and scrapes are ok as long as its not cracked and then take it to a body shop to have sanded and repainted...
