umm, I have the super hyper medallion. so I'm not sure what you're talking about when you're asking for the difference between the hyper and the super.

i have the tanabe super racing medallion, compared to the hyper the super is much more louder, even from low rpm...so u will be deaf with dual super hahah as for hyper my cousin has it on his acura CL and its not so bad cant really hear a thing from inside the car but has a deep tone when reving outside the car...really clean for both exhaust...if u go dual i say hyper...

agreed. I'm surprised more people don't have it actually.

I have the Super Racing Medallion on my baby. It's really good looking exhaust..........but it's super loud. When I first got it it was nice and quiet but deep. Now it's still deep but really loud. I love it though.

For my next exhaust I think I'm gonna go with something a little quieter. Maybe the Hyper.

All the comments above me, are 100% correct.

I have Tanabe Ultra Medallion and my best friend with same car as mine has Tanabe Hyper Medallion. we bought our exhausts in similar time..

My exhaust was loud since Day 1. then after few months after its broken in, it was no longer prelude. it was tank. It is SERIOUSLY deep in low-RPMs. You can tell its quality exhaust. When you rip it, exhaust just SCREAMS. sounds like a race car.

my buddy's exhaust.... not noticible until its broken in.
It was really quiet.. REALLY REALLY quiet. almost stockish but when you floor it, it screams in high-rpms. in a good way. no raspy sound.
now, after its broken in, it got louder. but nothing like tanabe super/ultra medallion.
Its still quiet, sounds very nice. no raspyness from both exhausts.

I heard dual Tanabe Racing medallion on a 5th gen prelude.
It was video taped during a meet. It was loudest exhaust out of all.
Trust me. Two racing medallions will make your ears numb.

Im switching to Greddy EVO 2 next week. evo just sounds too sweet. especially in high rpms.

i posted pics of my super hyper medallion too. just do a quick search and you should find another thread asking about the difference. they're in there.

like everybody else said, the hyper is much more quiet than the racing medallion. if you want the loudest, most annoying car on the block get the racing medallions. otherwise get hyper.

So the ultra's a good bang for your buck?
I was thinking of the Mugen exhaust, but that's so darn expensive.
