Tail light out, bulb replaced, plz help!!!

I have a brake light on my passenger rear tail light that is out. I had previously replaced the bulb with a correct matching bulb from Autozone, and had it working for several days. Now the light is out again. I checked the bulb last night, and the filament is fine, however, I used another bulb, and still no light. I checked all of my fuses, and all is well. I assume there must be a short somewhere, but how can I resolve this or even identify the culprit? Have any of you had a similar problem in the past, where a light is out, but the bulb is fine? I'd really like to fix this before I'm pulled over. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

check for power at the bulb first. If you have power. Also check the bulb for resistance. If you have power at the socket and the bulb is good, bad ground or open in the ground circuit. If no power at the bulb there is an open or short somewhere in the B+ .

You really need a circuit tester / multimeter to easily trouble shoot.

Honda of Covington fixed it for free, today. I would honestly say if anyone is passing through La, or lives nearby, def. give these guys some attention. I have had my lude for 8 years now, and these guys have always taken care of me.
