Sway Bar questions

Couple of quick questions.

Anybody have thoughts on any specific brand? which ones suck or rule?
Next, is the front bar only underneath or both under and over then engine?
Also, i read the NTPOG write up. Looks ok to DIY, but would anybody recommend it?

Im sure there are old posts about sway bars, so could anybody post links in thier replies.

Thanks a lot.

I would ask you to search because its a pretty common question, but progress, ST, and neuspeed, etc., make pretty good sway bars..

Thanks guys.

Two last ones (for now), if you had to say: which would end would you put on first? And would it be best to have two or does it make THAT much difference.

Im gonna say probably the front only cos thats where the power comes from. Tell me what you guys think? I only ask cos i have AMAZING roads here in Southern California and prefer MUCH sport driving to straight line sprints.

Do some research before you go out and buy one. FWD cars understeer, meaning you either need to remove the front one (not recommended) or buy a stiffer lower rear one to make it oversteer.

I've heard nothing but good from progress.

What does that have to do with sway bars?

+1 for progress rear sway
if you do get a progress rear sway bar, i recommend replacing your endlinks with the ones that progress sells so that you can run it on the stiffest setting

Why dont you recommend it? I know a few preludes that track without a front sway bar. An bigger sway bar wont necessarily make your car oversteer, it will reduce the tendancy to understeer.

btw guys, sway bars go beneath the car and strut bars go on the shock towers.

and upgrading your sway bar mounting brackets. Low spring rates cause too much stress on the bar causing the stock ones to break.

Start with a rear sway bar.
