Suspension suggestions...PLEASE

Ok so here's the deal. I have the stock blade wheels sitting on 205/45 tires. My car is lowered with the tein s-tech springs. This weekend I'm going to get new tires but this time going to get the stock size tires (205/50). My question for all of you is whether it would be a big difference to leave the s-techs in there or get the h-tech springs to raise it a little bit?? I don't want to go back to stock ride height, but at the same time dont know if i should leave the s-techs in there. what do you guys think? thanks, james.

you won't need to raise it with stock tires. why would that make a difference when you're on 16's? stechs aren't that low anyways.

that's a good point. stechs only lower the car 1.5in if im not mistaken. its just with my ws2 exhaust that thing scraps everything. i think what needs to be done is i need to have the hangers cut and re-welded so the exhaust is tucked into the tunnel more.

you won't have tire rubbing issues w/ the stock tire size (assuming stock wheel or equivalent) and Tein S-tech springs.

the real question is why would you feel the need to do that? S techs are better.

Spring: (Spring rate (lbs)) (ride height(in.))
STECH: Front: (240) (-1.5)
Rear : (207) (-1.3)

HTECH Front: (218) (-0.8)
Rear : (184) (-0.7)

somehow i thought that by raising the car that little amount would take less stress off the other suspension components and at the same time there'd be less inner tire wear. oh and lets not forget about scraping the bottom of the car on everything around town. i dont know, that was my thinking...

you scrape on s-techs by having a ws2 exhaust on your prelude! that's how

yea the ws2 is a very low hanging exhaust. all of the scraping in fact does come from the exhaust hitting. oh and i already bent the hangers on the exhaust. i think what needs to happen is to cut the hangers off the exhaust and reweld them with the exhaust tucked in more.
