I was driving yesterday and all of a sudden, everytime i'd come to a complete stop, and the car lurches forward (like it does when you come to a complete stop), it was accompanied by an odd sound (like a groan or something) that sounded as if it was coming from right rear shock/spring (hell i dunno i'm supid with this kinda stuff)..it persisted at every stop, and i actually thought i could hear it coming from the fround now as well...anyone have ANY idea wat this could mean??? ..i have totally stock suspension
that groan sound you might of heard might be your ABS brakes kicking in. but you should of felt your brake pedal vibrate. i dont know why your car would lurch forward though. did you brake while going over a pothole/pavement construction or something?

it's not the abs...this isn't in the 1st ten feet of driving...this is everytime i stop
From what you've mentioned, it sounds like your brakes are causing the problem, not the stock suspension. How many miles since your brakes have been replaced, or checked ?

I really don't think it's the brakes..if i gradually stop there's no problem..but when i stop and get that little lurch, then the sound arises..
Man, your car has a lot of small issues for stock, huh ?
If I remember, the intake, the shifting, now this ? Maybe try and first narrow down where the noise is coming from. You know its the right rear side, but try and establish what type of noise. If you come to a stop without using your brakes, do you still hear the noise ? You mentioned a groan, which I associate with a constant slow rubbing. If you are comfortable with it, take the wheel(s) off and do a visual one-over.
It's definitely the suspension...today the noise moved to the front as well..i notice it when i come to a complete stop because when you lurch, the car leans forward then back, obviously using the suspension..it went away as the car warmed up after 20 minutes or so..but this is defnitely a NEW cold weather shortcoming of my car as well as the 2 gear problem ..my car definitely sucks in cold weather

You think it could be your clutch/tranny? Whenever I slow down to a stop, I disengage the clutch, and my car lurches forward a little bit. Just a thought.
