Surging and jolting! Any help appreciated

So when I start the car it's ok... but when I get to driving for a few minutes then the idle starts going up and down erratically at a stop.

Then when driving around, the car keeps surging and jolting (as if you were pounding on the gas pedal and letting go of it quickly over and over) even if I keep even on the throttle. If I push the clutch pedal in, then it stops. I am guessing it has something to do with the idle control or maybe even some throttle position sensor?

Please help... this car is driving me crazy.

Thank you!!

I should mention the check engine light throws a code for idle control.

wanted to bring some closure... so it turned out a swap of new ngk platinum tipped spark plugs did the trick.

the idle is still going up and down...gonna try to clean the iacv and fitv tomorrow. but at least the car drives ok now.

Check hoses to the IM, and also u might be in need of a valve adjustment.
