This is similar to how I have my current side markers wired... (middle pic in my sig); excep they flash off when the blinker comes on; so the light "alternates" between the blinker and side marker... I might have to move those wires to my incoming JDM side markers; and pick up a set of side fogs, so I can be just like prepreludesh =)
I never really wanted to put things on my car that didn't have a specific function, and always scoffed at the people who had to do everything JDM, but the more and more I read and learn the more I am getting sucked into this hole that I must get all the JDM parts that I can.
I didn't want to get caught up in the JDMness buttt IIIII juusssstt caaann't hhhhellp iiittttt!!!!!
Civics can show off their JDM all day long, but you NEVER see a JDM Prelude in El Paso or in Ohio (at least the areas I was from). The rareness of it is the most alluring part of owning this car!
I just wish I had bought this piece when I saw it up for sale on Ebay back in the summer
as an Electronics Engineer; I created a messy, ugly wiring diagram for it.
The Relays can be wire-tied below the dash, above the fuse box; as all of the wires that you will need are already there (including the fog +; but you would be better off splicing that wire at the fog lights in front of the car.)
With the relays; depending on which ones you get; you will use the Normally Open, or N/O post.
Remember, the wires coming from the relays will be ground when the respective blinkers are on.
One other note- where the wires come out of the COMBINATION LIGHT SWITCH; do NOT cut them... I know it shows them cut in the diagram... just splice into them.
V/r,
Mike

Damn you whoever bought this!!!
i was gonna buy that too but they wanted $150 for the switches on the steering wheel to make it work. even then its horrible to wire.

I know! I think we all saw this piece and wanted it in some way!
I'll tell you the really crazy part, I was gonna buy it and when it came time to mount the windshield squirter, I was going to blend it in with some of those custom vortex generators...
And mold them in and overlay it with another nice coat of black paint so you couldn't see where I attached them. Call me rice, but that would've rocked hardcore tasty abs, washerboard style.
So who's gonna fess up and say they bought this piece so the ass-kicking can begin? I personally think our preludes need a rear wiper after going through some crappy storms where the rain doesn't quite go the right way and the rear windshield is covered. That's why I wanted it.
photobucket is blocked from work.. what is it? lol
I demand that you support my work-surfing habbits!
If your talking about the auto-A/C control; it's already on my JDM-izm to-do list =D as is the rear W/S wiper. Not really for functionality... more to see if I can do it.
Damn, and all this time I was pissed when I saw people who had these posts I really needed to see the pictures of. I was glad to give people my reviews because of it's large amount of informative pictures. Sorry about that Mike.
No, it's a picture of those crazy vortex generators that the Evolution 8 used to have on it's roof in the rear, haha.
And I don't think I'll ever do JDM climate control. The real reason is because I don't have A/C anymore, so there's no point in only getting half the use out of it.
And yeah, the rear wiper is gangsta and all, I'm hoping some day to find one again just like you. I'll see you on the battleground of Ebay, friend
The only reason I want to do JDM Climate Control, is because I want to see if I can pull it off... not really for the functionality... Other than when I was in texas (115 degrees in a black car is bad.), I don't think I've ever actually used my A/C... My car is more of a "hey.. wouldn't it be cool if the car could <insert nifty transformers action here>" car... I just like trying different stuff- kind of like my Yukon... I squeezed an engine/transmission in that thing that bearly cleared the front axles of a 22" lift monster truck.. had to shave the hood cross-members to get the hood to close right, rofl
you're gonna run into problems with the USDM ecu. as far as i know the JDM climate control (i think either the single height or the giant one that takes up the entire center console) need a JDM ecu to work properly. you can get a JDM ecu, but i dunno if its simple PNP.
and screw JDM, i need to get my sister to find me a VTi in belgium so i can swap my 25k mi motor into it. while retaining freedom-loving lefthanded drive.
ps: the rear window does indeed suck here in rain.

i want to do the same thing, so i jacked some relays from a junkyard. this is what i came up with how to do it. similar to yours? what's your take?
they're called cornering lights or intersection lights in japan. they're also called cornering lights here in the US. Honda made these for the Accord 94-97.
yeah they're called intersection lights and they are pretty big with CB7's (90-93 accords, what i used to have). this is the wiring diagram on CB7tuner.com
alright. I did the intersection lights on r1emperors car this week. I had a hard time finding a topic that explained every thing I needed to know. in this is the diagram you will see how to wire up any intersection lights if you are using an OEM honda intersection relay, but dont have the rest of the harness
That's a parking pole. It retracts and rises up when you're trying to park. It'll tell you where the front of the car is if you're parking next to a pole, other car, etc.
The device is probably pretty useful in Japan where the Prelude is one of the larger cars sold over there and it's pretty crowded everywhere you go.
