Sunroof Track Rattle - Honda Prelude Forum

Hello All, its been a while since I've been on here...

Well recently my sunroof started making a ticking noise like there was something comeing loose. This is not something under the headliner, its something comeing from the actual track on the passenger side.

It rattles whenever I hit bumps. It alsmost sounds like there is slack between the platic part that goes inside the rails and it bounces up and down whenever I hit a bump.

I was looking at it closer the other day and tried tightening the 4 nuts, 2 on each side, which are under the plastic tabs and bolt down the actuall glass.

Does anyone know what this could be or how to fix it.

Also, I am taking my car to get A LOT of paintless dent repair work done in one week. They said they are going to take the headliner off so I figured this might be a good time to have access to the sunroof. I will also make sure they tape all the wiring down to fix all the other ratlles...

yes, there is a TSB concerning the sunroof rattle. It involves replacing the two sliders and tracks with updated parts. I decided that it wasn't worth the time, money or effort to change them out so I'm leaving it alone.....

I think I heard of that once...

Does anyone have a copy (PDF) of that TSB...or all the TSB for that fact.
