Samething happened to me. Sunroof was moving slow and rattled alot when opening. The railings need some grease, no big deal.

I bought some silicone spray and sprayed it into the railing. Sunroof works like new now. You need to do this ASAP before you burn out the sunroof motor, it's being overworked right now w/out any lubrication.

Use a cloth or Q-tips to clean the rails out. It's not difficult, just takes a bit of time and patience. Instead of the liquid lubricators, I recommend white lithium grease for a solution. It's more prone to stay in the channels as it's a paste/gel rather than a liquid.

This is a better idea.
