Sun roof and white lithium grease. (detailed)

I cleaned the hell out of the sunroof... maybe too good?

I then sprayed some white lithium grease where honda specified.. and now it sounds scratchy and loud when I close it.

It sounds like scrapping rock crunching noises... so now I am debating if I spray even more in there.. will it then make it too loose or ruin the slideing mechanism?

People on here said spray the rails- I am assuming you mean to spray the inner rail where the black plasic piece is in on.
Honda says to spray on the black piece.

It sounds like ish now... and it still makes a wobbly type of sound and the whole roof glass shakes.. but I guess that is normal.
It kinda goes back and forth shaking as it comes back forward down and then in.

Re: Sun roof and white lithium grease. (detailed)

I just sprayed some lithium grease on my tracks last night. HUGE improvement. Mine never shook or vibrated, only got VERY slow when closing. I sprayed the grease the entire length of the track and open/closed it about 10 times. Works like a champ now! It sounds like you may have something in the track that is impeding the plastic piece from sliding smoothly. I don't know what it could be since you said you cleaned it......? *shrug* Good luck. When my sunroof was struggling, it bugged the crap out of me.

In fact, the grease worked so well, I may try to use it during any "alone" time I may have.............j/k

I used the Honda grease, the wobble problem came back, used TriFlow, works better.

how thick is the spray of the grease. When i got some of that grease it came in a can and u had to get a big glob on your finger to apply it.
