Sun Roof Noises

Just wondering If I am going crazy or If anyone else is hearing the same noises. When i drive around normally (at low speeds) I hear annoying creaking sounds which i have been attributing to body flex around where the sunroof assembly is bolted in. I also noticed when i shut the car door that the sunroof jumps up, as if it is loose. Anyone else have this problem, or notice similar noises?

noises from above

yeah i hear noises from above. for me it is right above my head near my sun visor. at first i thought it was my sun visor making the noise from being loose or something but after a little while i realized it was coming from the roof. its getting pretty damn annoying. i thought about taking it to the dealership but wasn't sure if they would fix it. it prolly wouldn't be covered under warranty right?

I get noises from the sunroof when it's open. It sounds like it's loose and vibrating around. I can't say it enough, the prelude is one noise mofoo.

Yeah I get that creaking sound too from my moonroof. By opening and closing the sound will stop but a minute of driving later, it'll come back. Yes I think something is loose but if anyone has any idea on how to fix it I'm all ears.

I just troubleshooted this... I thought the shop had done something as I just recently had the car repainted, however it turned out just to be the sunroof rail bolts are loose. What you need to do is remove or pull down the headliner of the culprit area (mine was drivers side) and look for a 10mm bolt that's attached to the moonroof rail. Tighten that down, I only torqued mine (I didn't want to go look though my helms at the time, it was 2 am and I couldn't stand it anymore ) to ~10 ft/lbs and the creak went away. I had to tighten it down at two points, I really have no idea how/why it was loose but both of the bolts weren't even finger tight.

edit: checked the Helm's and those bolts are supposed to be 7.2 ft/lbs so I over torqued it a little bit.
