If you're on a budget, I've had Kumho ecstas and I really liked them. Type R owners love the Falken Azenis. They praise it for it's positive autocross characteristics and say it performs surprisingly well in straight line acceleration.
The Falkens are getting rave reviews from autoxers everywhere. Other good choices are Bridgestone Re730's, Yok A520, then Kuhmo Ecstas in that order.

Anybody have the stock size with Dunlop SP Sport 9000? I'm thinking about them or the Toyo T1-S?
I'm getting new tires here in the next few weeks and at a lost for the two modles? Any help would be appreacheted!!!
The Dunlops are cheaper and most are happy switching to them at first. Personally, I cannot see why you would want to pay so much for a street tire that is just used around town when you can get the same performance out of a tire around the 100-120 a tire price. Make sure you read through the comparisons on www.tirerack.com , but those are sometimes scewed also and there will be no Toyo compairisons. I personally have not driven on toyos, but have seen their race tires perform at autox's and they seem to be a pretty good company, however, for just driving around town, definately see if you can get a really good deal on them, but then again, that $199 price was for an 18 inch tire, I dont know what they are for a 16 inch.

if you want to put 215's on the car you also want to change the midle # (50) to a 45 series tire. So the measurements would end up being 215/45/16. After all that you will end up with a tire that is only 1/4" wider!! Not really worth it in my book and good luck finding that tire. I was looking on tirerack for that size and they had none.
Just stick with the stock measurements unless you change the wheel size to like a 17 or up.
