Yes I think so...but when I put in my front upper strut tie bar, I didn't need to.

When I installed my spoon bars I didn't have to raise up the car. Install was easy except for when I had to cut the carpet for the rear bar.

I've wondered about this - since the point of the strut bar is to reinforce the frame, taking the weight and stress off of the strut towers might make sense. Does spoon or neuspeed have a suggestion here? It probably matters little, but I'd be interested to know as I'm sure there would be some deflection.

I heard it makes it easier to install the neuspeed with the four point mount, but I don't have one yet so

You have to cut the liner to install the rear bar.

grrr reminds me...
i spent two hours cutting out perfect holes for rear strut bar...
and then took my car to get lowered a few weeks later and the idiot tech. that works at a shop near my place simply tore the living f**k outta both sides of the trunk lining...

not to mention the idiots told me 220 for the install...and then realized my car was a "higher class honda" and charged me 250
not only that but took 7 hours on installing freaking ground control coilovers...
