dealerships can usaully fix them i think for like 50 dollers or something

they sell kits to fill little chips at your local autoparts store. looks like a huge seringe w/ glue inside.

i dunno about chips... but if you get scratches... white toothpaste... yes yes...laugh now.. but it works! Last time i was being a dumb@ss and squeegeed (sp?) the windshield with the wrong side... so i scratched it a lil with the metal part (cheap squeegee)... anyways.. my dad told me to use some toothpaste and a terry cloth to rub the $hit out of it. Rub hard..and it'll be like new... provided the scratch wasn't deep. Try that and see if it takes off some.

I went to a local glass shop and the guy did it for free They fill it with this clear liquid that hardens under pressure. Took about 5 minutes.

Windshield scratches

I have used some blue colored bug and tar remover for minor scratches or pits caused by rocks, it was the only thing I had and it has worked at least on 2 occasions.
