Stock Speakers with Aftermarket Head Unit question

So my battery recently died, and the stock head unit reset itself and prompted me for the radio code. So instead of getting the code, I'm deciding to buy a new head unit altogether. But upon further research, it seems as if some head units do not work with the acoustic feedback system. Anyone know any relatively cheap head units (~100-150 dollars) that i would be able to install just like any other car and would still work without bypassing the acoustic feedback system? Its a 2001 sh if it matters. Thanks!

AFBS only works with the stock radio. You will need to bypass it if you use any aftermarket radio. Another thing to consider is that your stock speakers, which are made of paper and foam, are 10 years old now. If you replace the HU with an aftermarket unit, which will have a higher wattage output, then you will probably blow your speakers...if they aren't blown already. Long story short, replace all of it or just get the radio code and leave everything stock.

All you need to get the code is the serial# on the radio. Then call the Honda dealer parts dept. and give them the serial# and they will give you the code.
