stock base vs. sh sides

Anyone have pictures comparing the two? Apparently the stock sides are different between the base and SH models..

Factory base sides are flat black textured.

Sorry Roger, I stole your pic!

SH sides are body-matched colored textured.

Yes they are still textured. Its not flat like the body panels or the OEM kit side skirts.

And I don't know if they made EGP SHs. I think they did.

**EDIT - There you go, you answered your own question. Now did the modding bug hit you hard yet WaWa?

what you can do is get your stock base sides painted...it'll be just like the SH's. I did my own and sanded it until it was SUPER SMOOTH...then painted it. Save yourself the headache of looking for sh sides.

No shape difference. Just colored textured versus flat black (unpainted) textured.

Are you sure the SH's are textured? I don't remember them being textured...and I know for a fact after I had the custom paint done they were as smooth as the rest of the body.

Yes I am sure they are textured. I have an SH. You can feel and see the texture. It is not smooth like the rest of the body panels.

Chris, since you repainted them, that would explain why they were smooth. Body shops tend to sand things down to being smooth.

I haven't been hit HARD by the modding bug, just want to polish my gem getting an oem front lip, eventually gonna try to track down some EGP SH sides and rear I don't feel like messing around with my stock stuff, besides, it's more fun to get stuff in the mail replacing my drivers seat with a newer one, mine has some left ass bolster sag and wear marks (previous owner was a fatass apparantly) and fortunately I found someone selling exactly the seat I need (cloth, black, heated) for 100 bucks canadian

maybe next summer a little drop, but that's probably it, I might consider getting some OEM+ wheels, but nothing aftermarket

this is exactly what I'm going for only egp;

already have the SH wing, soon to finalize on the oem front, and black textured sides and rear won't throw anything off, egp is dark enough anyways

base sides aren't as smooth as sh sides. my base sides that are painted red have alot more texture than my sh sides ever did.

btw, buy my seats!

wawa you should consider getting a type s lip instead of oem. it's smaller and flows nicer with the SH sides.

i did rock the oem front/sh sides for a long time though, and i was pleased with the look
