Stock alarm question...

Well, when you disconnect the battery or whatever you have to insert that special number so your stereo and alarm work? Well my question is what about when I get an aftermarket head unit? Will my alarm not work anymore? Will the car not even ask for the code anymore?

Are you taking about the code for the car radio???

If so the code is built in to the radio.

Unless you get an aftermarket radio with a code you
don't have to enter the code.

your alarm will be fine, the alarm isn't connected to the radio in any way (except that if the radio is disconnected the alarm would go off, same with disconnecting the power positive from the battery)......

an aftermarket head unit would just connect to your existing wiring harness and work normally, except if its ever removed the alarm would not go off and if you disconnected the battery the radio would just turn off as if u unplugged it and turn back on and function normally if you reconnect power
