ST Rear Sway bar problem HELP !!

Ok, heres my problem with my rear sway bar. I have had the front and rear sway bar for a while now without problems. But today, I noticed big clunking sound in the rear. I checked and the rear left bracket for sway bar was ripped off. so the holes to mount the bracket is useless now. what can I do, retap or weld a piece of metal and tap new holes? I guess my car is just way too stiff.

Im thinking about going with a different bar like neuspeed with beefier brackets and new endlinks. My question for those with neuspeed rear sways. does the new bracket mount to the stock holes? and can someone provide a picture of the install of the neuspeed bracket for me? I searched and couldnt find pics.

Oh yea, Im running on tein flex, front st sway, spoon front and rear strut bars. car handles like dream but its time for new rear sways.

any input would be great guys. Thanks in advance !!

So the bar broke the bracket or the bracket broke the car? If the bracket stripped the mounting holes out you're going to have to tap them and get them rethreaded. Progress makes a decent bracket and it mounts in three places instead of just using the two the original sway bar mounted on.

This is a common problem. Just get another piece of metal welded in and redrill the holes.

the bracket broke and it also ripped out the threads of the hole.I guess what happened was bracket broke first and the second screw was still holding on and over time it ripped it out. I think im just going to tap and rethread the hole and use a bigger screw. thanks for the tip guys
