Just wanted to update all of you on the LevelTen tranny. Almost 3,000miles on it and it feels good! I don't have the FI on the Prelude, its n/a.
It still pulls hard through the gears. Once temp level reaches 1/4 mark, it pulls harder. The cold affects it for only about 5 minutes till the temp level reaches 1/4 mark.
On the highway, this transmission is no joke. It will pull really hard to VTEC when needed. Uphills, slight tap on the gas and it pulls hard. The best part about the upgraded TC is the excellent low end it brings to the Prelude.
I think in my 1-2nd gear shift or torque braking tho, the TC is looking for more torque to be fed. I have a feeling when more torque is fed, the stall speed(when from a stop, then pressing on gas) will be minimized more. You will hear about this issue when 5-speeds put on HIGH performance clutches without adding the extra hp and torque. It will not perform like it should because the clutches are waiting for HIGH hp and torque. Unless they have slicks.....hehe.
All in all, i'm loving it a lot. Daily driving is phat because I have more low end getting in and out of traffic easily.
I've collected all the interested SS in the LevelTen products and you will be getting an email soon from LevelTen.
I will continue to post my experiences with the tranny to further help all of you.
peace

Yes, i'll keep everyone posted on how the tranny goes for the next year, etc.
But at 3000miles, i recommend it, in my opinion. Get the torque converter now. Get the PTS kit for FI and if you feel your tranny REALLY needs a rebuild NOW!
I'm just trying to help and inform SS owners for their future plans on their Preludes.......more to come.
Peace
