Dude... you crack me up.
There isn't a stock MT cooler... where would you hook it up? Also, there is no MT oil pump to circulate the fluid with suficient force to get it through the cooler...
The stock AT cooler is built into the OEM radiator. ATF is an integral part of the opperation of the AT itself, as ATF is used to actually couple the two halfs of the turbine in the torque converter. (Except when lockup occurs...)
In any event, ATF is used as the lubrication and COOLANT for the AT.
In the MT there is not coolant, the MTL functions simply to lubricate the parts and prevent excessive friction. It is, effectively, spashed over the parts inside the bell housing... as opposed to seriously pumped through a bunch of pathways like the AT unit.
As such, there is no way to get MTL into any sort of cooler.
Since you have a Type-SH, you could add a cooler to the ATTS unit... but that's about it.
Also, certain operating temperatures are engineered for with various transmissions. For example, ATF should not operate below 175F as that is the optimum operating temperature for prolonging the addtivies in the ATF. the engine coolant in the Prelude typical stays about 200F. This means that the transmission will be about 240F (ish) in an SS Prelude. So the cooling goal should be from 175-200F with 175F during the winter and 200F (ish) during the summer.
