When it shifts if it revs a little since its not catching, thats why we use the term slip, like its not catching.

im thinkin that possibly some of the breakdowns could be cause of cold weather. i live in north tejas & very rarely gets into the 32 deg. mark. BUT the past few days has been cold. yeasterday it was 23 deg. i got a lil bump (not a loud one like other describe), & today comin from work the p-r got a lil bump. gonna check it out tommorow..... i dont really rag on it either... no tellin...

1998 SS - 37k miles and some change - no problems with the tranny to date. I've had the car since February of last year. I think its more how you drive the car and not what year it was manufactured =]

I have a 2000 Lude with close to 31,000 miles and I have no problems so far. If it does fail i hope it happens soon before I reach 36,000 miles so it can be under warranty.
HAPPY LUDING!
