SS breakdown percentage???

I am curious on what the percentage is. Just list your year and if you have had problems or not.

It looks like they revamped the tranny for 2001 becuase when I ordered my Helms manual, I bought a 2001 supplement and its about 40 pages of just addl tranny info.

I got a problem w/ my 97 lude. Tranny went out w/ only freakin 30,000 miles. No mods on it either so don't blame it on that. Seriously WTF. I want a manual:finger:

i have a 99 SS and the tranny started slipping at about 34k. it was covered under warranty and was replaced, free of charge. They had the car back to me within 1 day. other than that no problems at all

99 base, no mods, 24K, no problems so far. Have a 5 year warranty just in case.

1999 Prelude (3yrs old this November) no tranny problems at all. I have 52,000miles too. I pray it stays that way.....

My cousins Prelude SS tranny blew up twice..
It's suspected a wire was being pinched under the
aftermarket tower bar.

I have a 1998 SS with ~73k miles and NO slippage or problems whatsoever...even before the level10 PTS upgrade.

99 SS, close to 15,000 with no probs yet. been through one bottle of N20, 55 shots. really inteested in level 10 PTS upgrade.

Also 99 SS here with almost 25,000 miles on it and also no problems with it.......

What do u guys mean by "slipping" ??



And also, why are the resale value of 5th gen these days are sssssooooooooo low?? Even like the 98-99 ones are hekka low too.....

i have a 97 with 90000 and i am on my second tranny which is also bad. it was bad since the day i got it because it was used. i didn't want to go back cuz they had my car for a month because the tranny got lost in shipping. i'm not sure but isn't that a lemon if they have your car for more than a month?

99 Base SS 65,000 Auto tensioner got noisy at about 38K, dealer replaced under extended warranty. No Problems since.
