squeaky sounds on a 5th gen

hey all,

i got tein basic coilovers installed on my prelude, and i've noticed that a lot of times when i go over a speed bump (or any bump), i hear a lot of squeaky noises coming from the rear. has anyone else had this problem? i'm thinking it's the rear coilovers, either that or my exhaust (world sport 2...which hangs ridiculously low). it's one or the other i'm pretty sure, does anyone else who has this setup have a similar issue?

My and my buddy noticed that after we put in a Ground Control Coilover/Koni Yellow setup on our ludes. Except we heard the noises coming from the front. I just got used to it...

I have the same problem in the back right side of my car. Any thoughts on how to fix it? I sprayed some WD-40 under my car around that area and it was good for a while, but it keeps coming back. Maybe I'll just keep doing that forever.

WD-40 is a cleaner, not a lubricant. Like you said, it is a very temporary fix. Silicone lube is the way to go for rubber. You can get it in a spray can almost anywhere, that might do the trick....... but I like the paste better. Paste is expensive..... Honda sells for $30 CAN a tube (that will last forever) but they were nice enough to give it at shop rate for $20 CAN. I use it all the time on all rubber components, brings them back to new. That means you have to disassemble to lube and clean the bushings though.
