Springs and Shocks combo...

What are some good springs and shocks to get? How is the drop/ride quality on H&R Springs? I've had Eibach Pro-kits on my 99 Prelude on stock shocks and the ride was fine.

Thanks

Well, if you liked the ride quality of the Eibachs, you'll REALLY appreciate the H&Rs. Get the H&Rs if you're considering them. The drop is a bit lower, but you wont be at the point of NEEDING a camber kit (depending upon which struts you match them with). I went the with Tokico blues for the price, and they ride great.

The Prokits that I had were a 1.3" drop. How much are the H&R's? Do I have to get shocks as well with the H&R's? If so, which ones...Koni yellows?

thanks

The H&Rs are suppose to be 1.4", but seem more like 1.5 rear, 1.7 front. Its always recommended to get aftermarket shocks. Koni yellows are sweet if you have the $$ for em. The blues are only 300.

300 for all four? Are these shocks adjustable? What other springs are there with a modest drop between 1"-1.5"?

Yeah, 300 a set. They are not adjustable. The adjustables are the Illuminas, that I've also heard good things about them.

The only others in that range I would vouge for are the Neuspeed Sports and the Tanabes.

Go on www.tirerack.com and look at the suspension set-up and they say that the pro-kits and koni's don't go good together. I was going to do the same set-up but i am unsure now. I need to call them and find out why they don't recommend it. But check it out your self

Right now I have brand new Ground Control Coilovers. Should I sell these and get some springs and shocks or should I just keep them? If I install the Ground Controls I am going to do a 1" drop. Is it hard to adjust the Ground Controls and would springs be less "bouncier"?

H&R and Koni Yellows. The ride is very similar to stock when it's set on the softest setting but on the firmest setting you'll kill your kidney.

Mine's kinda low also but no biggie. Mine's probably around 1.5 but i dont have any camber, well maybe a little but not too much to install a camber kit.

The Ground Controls are not installed. Anyone know how the ride will be on stock shocks with a 1" drop or if I should just sell them? I got an offer from someone to trade my Ground Controls for his pro-kits which are brand new and 100 dollars. Is this a good deal or should I just keep my coilovers.

BTW...Is there any difference in Eibach Pro-kits for Base and Type SH
