I just bought an Eibach 1.3" Prokit on Ebay for my 99 base. I posted on another thread and someone said "eibach springs SUCK.......uneven drop, too bouncy, etc..... get neuspeed or h&r" is this true? Sure I not even bother putting these on? I read good reviews about them on carreview.com but those were for many different cars on the 5th gen ludes. Any Ideas? I also bought an H&R Race Kit with 2.0/1.8" drop with tokico shocks that I now think is too low for me if anyone wants it maybe Ill post them in clasifieds. Sorry if this ? has been asked a hundred times Im new to the forum and couldn't find anything on the Eibach Kit --Thanks Guys--
i heard Eibach springs tend to sag after few years and it is too soft. Also, Eibach is most expensive springs compare to H&R and Neuspeed. So most people prefer H&R or Neuspeed over Eibach.
Before buying anymore parts, I would consult this board (or at least use the *wonderful* search function) . I had the Eibach Pros on Koni Shocks (Konis are good shocks, BTW) and the Eibachs dropped MUCH more than 1.3". The spring rate was not high enough, and on more than one occasion, I met the limits of the suspension travel.
Read everything and believe what is actual fact.
I had the ProKit springs and indeed they are not as stiff as the Neuspeed Sport. They do have an issue with the front suspension as to how the car sits even new. I replaced mine with Neuspeed Sport and they have seen enough track days to tell me that I made the right decision-the front is not dead even-but both sides of the car are correct for ride height.
I run Koni "yellow" Sport shocks on ALL of my cars. I won't get into a $@!@!# match over sag. I will tell you that Neuspeed uses a process that minimizes the problem and in 3 years-mine have not changed ride height.
BTW: anyone read the latest Tien AD-better look guys cause they admit to 5mm of sag.
For the record-H&R and Neuspeed do not manufacture springs in the same factory anymore. Neuspeed has its own plant. I have spoken with both Neuspeed engineering and Eibach about the ride height issue-seems both used specific 5th gen model of car for design and then applied the rates from there. The front of our cars are unequal weight from side to side with the left front being the heaviest corner. This is part of the reason that the car sits like it does. The Eibach parts I had were much worse than the Neuspeed. I also do my swaps using brand new parts from Honda.
(Anyone need a set of stock springws and shocks mounted and ready to install-no spring compressor? Just e-mail)
Hope this help you. Happy Holidays

I agree with coils being a waste, unless you're really racing. Why adjust anything? Pick the rights springs and leave it at that. Once I have the loot, I'm buying H&R Sports with KYB AGX's. Simple, fairly cheap, it'll last until I sell the car ~ 2-3 years is all I want. I'm not trying to win any shows OR races. Just trying to look good
