Speciality Products Camber correction Kit

I see Speciality products make a front camber correction kit for a 1997 - 2001 SH, will this work with the base model ?

If your car isn't lowered at least 2 inches..... then who cares......

Camber kits are made for extreme cases when the car is lowered usually 2-2.5 inches. And anyone that tells you different is just trying to make some money....

I partially agree, my car is lowered approx 1.6 to 1.75 ", the tires show a little bit of inside wear, only a small amount but if the camber was corrected there would be no wear. I can live with this.
I am just interested to see if anyone has used these speciality products on a base lude, as I know they are cheap... and who knows I may wanna drop my car down 2.5" just because I have coil overs.
Also there may be people in the group who need camber kist on a reguar basis, so this info is good for anyone.

Are those rear kits or front kits..?

They are listed in the columns for rear kits, but clicking on the part number takes you to a page that says "front". Odd.

I hate to burst bubbles

Once again those of you who have not read my repeated replies-do it.
Now, the rule is simple for each 1" of drop the Camber will go negative by -0.75 degrees. This is the case up to 2" and then the number is a bit different after that. My ride is lowered on Specialty Products kits (See hondaprelude.com on 12/10/01)up front and Ingalls on the rear.
The part numbers you are mentioning are NOT for the front. They are for the rear. Part Number 67135 is for the front (replaces 67130) of Base model Preludes. Call Specialty and Ingalls for their advice on the front as neither actually has a kit for the front of an SH that I am aware of. Call them!
The only manufacturer that says they have a kit for the SH front suspension is Northstar (www.northstarmfg.com)
YOU MUST get the car aligned before you roder anything. The printout is your guide as to which kits-from which manufacturer you will need. My setup is NOT unique, but every car is.
The alignment will also correct toe-in, which is a major source of tire wear.
Oh and one other thing-the kits for the rear of a 5th gen are the same as those for both ends of a 4th gen.
You got questions-send me an e-mail.
Happy Luding

Simple answer... get your car's allignment checked... if the cambers of the cars are above 1 degrees... you should consider getting a camber kit... if not, then you don't need it.. my cambers are off 1.3 degrees right now .. i need camber kits.. ANYONE KNOW GOOD PRICE FOR SPC or INGALLS FULL CAMBER KITS?

From experience, you can run up to 1.5 degrees of negative camber and still have even tire wear. Neither of these cars were Prelude's, but I dont see why it would be different. Now if the toe was out of spec, then wear would be a problem. Just my 2 cents.

I have a Base Prelude, and wanted to get camber kits. But I have heard that most camber kits out will have a problem with the top threads of the camber, hitting the top of the chassis suspension. My car has a finger gap, in between the stock tires and fender well. I was wondering which camber kit would allow me to ride without any difficulties in maintenance and problems.

Pricing for kits will vary from dealer to dealer. I bought mine from Ultra Performance in Tuscon and they discount. If you buy the full set they pay shipping (I think).
As to the question of hitting the chassis with the stud-yes it can happen. Specialty Products has just released a revised version of their +/-1.5 degree front ball joint. It is #67135 and is just fine so far on my 99 Base on Neuspeed Sport springs. I had the dimples from the longer studs. They were caused by extreme compression of the springs going over bumps on the interstate and at the track.
Hope this helps everyone.

JC, How low is your car, if you don't mind me asking. Can you describe it in finger gaps between the fender and the wheel. Hopefully you are on stock tire and rim. Well, I'll greatly appreciate your help if you can further assist me with this information.

you can also get Progress front camber kits. I have heard slightly negitive things regarding Ingalls kits, such as the durability and quaility but that is just hearsay
