Spark plug well filled w/ oil

I pulled one of the spark plugs and when I took it out it was drenched w/ oil so I guess the tube was filled and it all drained into the cylinder.

1) Why? Would it be a bad gasket against the plug tube in the head where the valve cover seals? (I don't know the name of it)
2) If I don't take the head off I guess it will take a few minutes to burn out that oil when I first restart it and the plug will be fouled and should be cleaned or replaced?

Opinions?

its a spark plug gasket, and its installe dinto the VC, and usually repalced when you replace teh valve cover gasket. If i was you i woudl replce the VC gaske, the spark plug gaskets(all four) then replce the plugs.

You ownt need to remove the cyliunder head to chaneg that, jsut the valve cover. But when you do so make sure you have some silicon to put down after you replce the gasket berfore you install the VC.

That little buit of silicon goes over the hums where the cams are so as to help ensure tight seal. This is an easy job as long as you have teh new gaskets and the tools and a ltitle bit of know how.

Kind of what I thought, and no problem on the know-how. I guess all the oil that drained into the cylinder will just burn off after a few minutes....
