Spark plug preference ...

Which would you choose?

NGK Copper: ZFR6F-11(is this the right number?)
NGK Platinum: PZFR6F-11
Denso Platinum: PKJ20CR-L11

Or something else?

I'm thinking the NGK coppers, since they're cheaper with more maintenance. Is that the right kind up there and where can I order them?

i recently went with the NGK coppers with that part number. the platinums were $15/piece compared to $3/piece for coppers. i guess im cheap.

ya 15 per is quite hefty ... I think I'd like to replace them more often anyway.

Where did you get yours from?

No I went into the store and asked for them. I haven't gotten any yet but I am planning on doing that soon. They said they could have them for me in about 2 days.

Peace

I thought that the copper plugs had a much shorter lifespan which means you have to replace them sooner(?)

ya, I guess wheat I meant was that I would rather replace them every 10k instead of using the platinums for 50k or whatever.

Ok I've read to replace your spark plugs like every 20 k miles , but im not sure. What do spark plugs do exactly to our cars ? Do some actually enhance power, over others. Or do they all do the same work ??

copper is a better conductor than platinum... the only thing platinum has on copper is that it lasts longer, hence, you don't have to change them as often.

$8 a pop for the coppers every couple of months isn't so bad at all. besides, it *almost* feels like the car is a little more robust after every swap.

Yeah I think there's something in that. I've wondered if it's just me being more into, attentive to my car after I've changed something but I think you are right.

NGK coppers are the best plugs out there, don't waste your money on platinums.
Iridiums will probably work just as good as copper, but just last longer probably 50K and cost you way more.
A copper plug will last 30Kmiles. Changing them every 10K is a waste unless your spraying or something. The average performace minded driver should change coppers every 20-25K.

20-25k miles? I was under the impression that have to change more frequent ....
what if one fails if you left it there too long...
