Sparco Spring Question

Here is my situation.... preludeparts.com has Sparco springs for 99$ shipped advertised, after about 2 weeks of dicking around, they finaly ship them, and for the trouble they do a free shipping upgrade which I thought was cool of them....

Springs get here today, Im looking at the sticker on the box, and it doesn't seem right.... so I call Sparco, to verify the springs I have are for the 97+ prelude and not the 4th gen--- the guy at Sparco then informs me that they never made a 5th gen spring, they made the 4th gen springs for a limited time, but never made the 97+ springs....

My question is this--- do I risk putting these springs on my prelude? or should I call them upĀ******ingĀ*I know some of the other brands make prelude springs 92-01.... same spring fits 4th and 5th gen-- but some of them make 4th gen springs, and 5th gen springs....

Either way, preludeparts.com shouldn't have on their site '97+' or '92-96'.... since Sparco didn't make a 97+ spring....

help me out someone...

not sure, but in some cases (such as the Eibach Sportlines), the springs can be used between the 4th gen and 5th gen, since Eibach did not make sportlines for the 5th gen, even though the 4th gen ones fit perfectly. not sure about the sparco ones tho. but then do take into consideration that the springs for a 4th gen were specificially made for a 4th gen (correct weight distribution and ride comfort) and since the 5th gen is a bit heavier, the ride may be slightly stiffer and/or bouncier.

I've never had the Sparco springs, but I have Tanabe SuperH springs which are designed for 92-96 Preludes on my 5th gen, and they are perfect. The ride height is even all around.

If anyone else is looking for the Sparco springs, they are only $75 a set at www.modacar.com...
