Soo, My Lude broke today

Me and my friend were driving my 97 lude today. We launched at 4500 after a stop sign, spun tires hard and were at 75mph by the next stop sign(100 yards or so). As we slowed down we felt a knocking/thumping noise coming from the motor. We originaly thought the tire blew from burning out. I popped the hood and my belts were completely de-railed. The crank pulley had been making a clicking noice for a couple weeks but im used to my car making noises so i thought nothing of it.

So as were pushing my car home, a cop pulls up behind us and im like ****! Cause i dont have plates, registration, or sticker yet. He pulles along side us and says "you guys should be running by now". Trying to make a joke since we were pushing my car real slow. So thwn we some how puched it up the driveway into the garage. I jacked it up and took off the rim.

I noticed the crank pulley was barely attached, the bolt was only on like 3 or 4 turns before it came off. Im not sure if the autotensioner screwd up or the pulley was just loose but the car makes a supercharger wining noise when i rev the motor like the belts were rubbing or something. But im hoping the knocking noice was just the loose pulley and not a thrown rod or bent valves. If i turned the car of within a minute of the belts coming off, how bad could the internal damage be if any?

Thank in advance!

(ps) Im looking for an unorthodox underdrive pulley if anyone knows someone whos selling one.

The accessory belts don't keep the car in time, the timing belt does. It's not visible unless you remove the associated cover. You'll probably be fine once you get the broken belt replaced. As far as the unorthodox pulley is concerned, you'd better do some research about the potential for damage those pullies can bring.

ps. As long as you've been here, I can't believe that you even mention the childish crap you were doing before your car broke. Speeding w/ no tags or registration.

You're a dumbass, but I hope you still find me helpful.

4500 rpm launch

Technically you can run the car without any of those belts until the battery drains

i didnt spin tires an entire block, just for about 10 seconds. I know it was a stupid thing to do, but my friend was the one driving and his uncle lives on my street and hes a local cop. If that wasnt the case then i would have never taken the car out of the driveway.

But thanks for the help, i feel a little better about it. I guess the loud knocking noise was just the loose crank pulley wobbling around.
