Hmm..doesn't seem like it'll take to long to relocate. Can't wait to read the write up.

I did it. It only takes 15 minutes. Take out the black plastic cover. Loose the 2 upper bolts of the hood latch. Take out the cable and relocate as seen in the picture. You will have to relocate the plastic bracket that hold the cable in the right side hole and slide the cable to the right so it fits tight. Tighten the bolts, put the plastic cover back and you are done.

Sorry if I didn't explain it well, but it works.

Thumbs up to BoosterSH.

Sorry -- I hate to bump such a long-dead thread, but I could not find any other information on the hood latch cable rerouting. All of the pictures are gone so I wanted to see if anyone still has them (or if the OP can re-upload them... maybe make this a permanent writeup / sticky)?

I just bought a 2000 CBM Prelude. I live in a relatively safe neighborhood, but I have no alarm [yet] and I want to do whatever protective measures I can right away. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a clear writeup for this particular project.

I've been doing my due diligence and searching before I ask questions. Please don't hurt me!
