Someone PLEASE HELP Im bogging out, and stalling.

Hello,

First off sorry if this is in the wrong section, or has been covered already.

I recently blew a coolant hose off my motor ( H22A4 ) and dumped all my coolant on the road a block from my house. I was able to get my car parked before the engine overheated...

I repaired the hose, and topped up my coolant again with the bleeder valve open on the stat until a steady stream came out..

I started up my car with the rad cap open to let out any other air pocket and let my car get up to temperature.
Car has reached temperature. I go to give it a shot of gas and it stalled on me..

I let the engine cool down and repeated the rad burp numerous times. Still I get up to temp and the car wants to shut down, or stall when I give it a fast shot of gas., and it doesn't want to start back up again when its at temp.

I took it for a ride down the road and when the RPM'S get over 3000 it starts bogging out on me, like my power will just drop while I should be accelerating..

I Did a full Rad flush to seee if it was air still stuck in there somewhere, but no success.. Please can anyone point me in the right direction? My car was working great until I blew that hose off

No Lights are on. Rad Fan kicks in at temp.. Even tried pulling my 7.5 fuse to reset the ecu.. I'm taking shots in the dark here... Im wondering if my o2 sensor is maybe the issue?

Thanks indylude, your time and input is much appreciated.

My guess: Something that shouldn't get wet (sensor or spark plug wires maybe?) got wet when the coolant hose blew. Either that, or you have air going back into the cooling system somewhere.

Fish around in the engine bay a little bit. Look for any electrical connections or sensors that look like they were covered in coolant, take them out, clean them, plug them back in. Maybe you will get lucky.

Well, I took apart a few wire clips around the area where the hose let go, cleaned the male and female ends as best I could with component cleaner , and let it air dry. I bled my stat valve again just to make sure for the 10th time, and took it for a rip. Much better!!!

I am just letting her cool down enough so I can pop the rad cap, and warm her up again just in case there is still air to burp, then I'm going to try again If all goes well she will be back to her old self.

Good to hear that it worked. This might be a good time to do a little preventative maintenance before something else blows up.

My best suggestion on Cooling System prevent. maintenance would be to replace all hoses and clamps. The hoses are 10+ year old rubber which degrades horribly around that time and the pinch clamps are just about worthless.

I recommend silicone hoses (I use OBX, shut up) and screw clamps from any hardware store.

OMG I just went out again and it doing the same crap except now the check engine light is on. Not sure if was on when I first turned it over, or if it went on when I got up to temp.

Geez Kronn, you going to make me link your thread?

Another DIY ATTS, ABS, & CEL (Check Engine Light) DTC

It might be a good thing the CEL came on, it should tell you exactly where to start looking for the problem.
