Someone confirm the KYB AGX shocks for the TYPE SH

My car is getting worked on right now with eibach pro kits and kyb agx shock install.

I got a call from the technician and he was saying that the KYB AGX that I have for my Type SH are different from the stock ones. The KYB's are for the base model.

I was told by several po.com members that the KYB AGX shocks for the base model will work on the Type SH model as long as I have aftermarket springs...which I do..(eibach prokits).

He said the rear ones are fine.

Someone confirm this...

Thanks

Part Number: 741030 front kyb honda strut

the same thing was told to me last week when i got mine put on my SH. So i went to the KYB website and confirmend it. The part number was the same for the SH. My shop said they are different and the spring perch will make the car sit about 1" higher in front. after getting the car back the front was barely noticeable. i thought it looked fine. Id go to their website and confirm your part #'s just in case. I do know that the front right and left are different part #'s, i hope your mechanic knows that.

if you dont like them send them back and go for some other shocks....

but then Vertex will probably charge you again for taking them out...

the rear shocks are okay....but i am rubbing.

the front ones are made for the base model, so on the type sh they make the car sit higher.

what shocks are there that dont have this type of problem?

if i put my stock shocks in the front will that be okay? will my car be lower in the front? Would my car be okay if i have two different sets of shocks on my car (front and rear)?

JRSClude....what springs do you have?

Can anyone with KYB AGX's and Eibach prokits post they part numbers so I can match mine up and make sure they are correct?

Especially those with the Type SH.

Tell Steve to double check his install and if it doesnt work out good then just have them removed and take ur car to a better place like autoauthority or inline pro or CDE ......

anyone want to help me out here?

My car feels fine when I drive it, there are no unusual sounds or anything that seems out of order.

A lot of you have said that it could be a bad install....I dont understand how that is possible and how the outcome could be like this.....3 finger gap in the front driver side, 3.5 finger gap in the passenger side and 1.5 finger gap in the rear.

I've had my previous prelude lowered on eibach prokits with stock shocks and the drop was even all around and there was NO rubbbing....I'm rubbing in the rear right now and it's pissing me off.
