hey everyone. so, when i have my headlights and maybe wipers and or stereo (not loud) and or defrogger on, my car at idle or slow speeds, the windows (especially the driver's) and the wipers move very slow. the window is so slow it is almost stopped. when the car is at speed i do not have as many problems. could this be the alternator? car starts fine and runs fine other than the above problems. car is at 165,000 miles, stock alternator. Battery was replaced a couple years ago with a yellow top Optima.

Sounds like that's your problem

Magnets in alternators will lose their magnetism over time and slowly produce less current. So it seems yours is getting old. What year is your car?
